Changes / New Features

  • Accounting
    • Delete Bulk Invoice Items – can now delete invoice items on the review tab in bill accounts.
    • Bill Accounts Invoice – changed “Account #” to “Customer:” and added the “Storage Account #” to the invoice.
    • Receivables – Customer’s moves section now shows moves completed and quoted for the customer not using the account as payment in posting. Now has “On Account”, “COD”, and “Quoted Only”
    • Manage Invoice Items – Under the receivables section the list of storage jobs would not load.
  • Admin
    • Price Zones – Submit button read “Send” now reads “Save”
    • Auto Recovery – New tool to view any auto recovery data that has not yet been recovered, you may delete it or jump to the page to recover the data.
    • Hourly Travel Fee – New Mile * Mile Rate calculation available.
  • Claims
    • Delete Item prompts first – Deleting a claim item first asks if you are sure before deleting.
    • Claim: Settle Date & Claim Date calendar Widget – added a calendar widget to the Settle Date & Claim Date
    • Claim Item: Deduction Date Calendar Widget – Added a calendar widget to an item’s deduction date.
    • Claim Delivery Request Form – A delivery request form that can be printed out for someone to handle transporting items.
    • Claim Delivery Request List Interface — searchable data grid that shows all Claims Delivery requests without having to go into individual claims.
  • Modular Invoice
    • New Payment Section added “Default Alternate Hourly Write-in”
  • Quoting
    • New Inventory Recovery Feature – If your iPad loses signal and causes a refresh, browser crashes, or accidentally leave the inventory screen, an auto recovery option appears allowing you to load the changes made by you or other staff members that weren’t saved. Un-recovered data only stays around for 30 days.
    • Overview Access log and Inventory Links – the Access Log link was added to the left nav, as well the link in the center content is more noticeable. The inventory link in the middle is also more noticeable.
    • New Quote Access Log – New link under customer that allows you to view and search the access log for all quotes, rather then just viewing a single quote’s logs
  • Storage
    • Bulk Add Containers – New option to skip existing numbers rather then throwing an error. This allows someone to easily fill gaps in their numbers.

Bug Fixes

  • Accounting
    • Account Payment Editor — Fixed error preventing saving of changed information.
    • Bill Accounts Review – Date Selector next and previous buttons didn’t work.
    • Bill Accounts – Load Speed improved for large data sets
    • Close Job Chrome and Safari fixed.
    • Close Job relocate without warehouse zone selected – now auto corrects to not relocate containers.
    • Edit Billing Invoice – When you switch an invoice item from fee to balance this now updates the account balance.
  • Modular Invoice
    • Always show Packing materials, fixed was forcing services instead of materials to always show up.
  • Web Quote
    • Inventory not showing up when \” submitted in custom items. This is only caused when magic quotes php option is enabled on the server.
  • Portal
    • View Email Online Link — Fixed an issue with XML bombing due to & in the subject of the email.
  • Office calendar
    • Incorrect Employee Number – for some staff member the database id was displayed instead of their manually set id number.
    • Print Survey – Some web quotes that were resubmitted multiple times can show up multiple times on the in-home survey schedule sheet.
  • Estimate Templates
    • Broke out Accessorials on hourly – Accessorials costs are now broken out on all hourly jobs
    • Min Cost/Max Coverage – Fixed min and max error on estimates.

New Features and Changes

  • Admin
    • Roll Call Status Admin – Changed “new…” button to read “reset” due to confusion about how to save items.
    • Availability Status Admin – Changed “new…” button to read “reset” due to confusion about how to save items.
    • Min Cost Added to Valuation Options 1 & 2 – You can now specify the minimum valuation cost for valuation options 1 and 2 similar to 3.
    • Added “New User” button under user in Admin – replaced the “user/non-user” selection to make functionality more visible. This does not affect Lead manager only packages.
  • Office Calendar
    • Office Calendar Schedule Survey Add Zip and City Name – The link used to schedule a survey, added the zip code and city name for quick readability
    • Can now manage claims follow up on the office calendar
  • Storage
    • Storage Billing Buttons Read “create” – due to confusion the “next “ buttons now read create as they will generate invoice Items.
    • Storage Billing Due Date Selector – added a date selector to the due date on the review tab of the storage billing.
  • Claims
    • Updated Interface – updated the claims navigation and interface to better handle new additions.
    • Add Time Stamped Notes to Claims – Employees can add time stamped notes to Claims
    • New Access Log – Tracks when claims and individual items are accessed, updated or created to help multiple claims managers keep in sync.
    • Upload File and Images—you can now upload files and images to a claim.
    • Added Email field to claims — added email address field to the claims section
    • Send Emails From a claim – you can now send an email from a claim and it will keep record of the emails that have been sent.
    • Go To Claim Widget on list – new claim widget on the claim list page, allowing you to enter in a claim number and be taken right to it.
    • Schedule Follow up – can now schedule a follow up on the office calendar

Bug Fixes

  • Schedule 2-month and month view – Cursor now shows as a pointer for a link when hovering over a day in FireFox.
  • Invoice Max Valuation Exceeded – When a maximum coverage is set the valuation displayed on the modular invoice pieces is not capping at the Maximum Coverage like the quote interface and estimate are.
  • Quote Step 3 Infinity Error – When the quote price is calculated to 0 and is overridden the discount field shows infinite and prevents saving the quote.
  • Storage Account Billing Works In Chrome & FireFox – Storage Account Billing now works in Chrome and FireFox
  • Claims Save Button works in Chrome & FireFox now – Previously didn’t work at all.
  • Posting fix when unposting a job and removing crewmen — Reposting bombs.
  • Web quote and unknown zip code error – Web quote with unknown zip codes for origin and destination now save correctly.

August 2011 MovePoint Mover Software Update

Changes & New Features

  • Separate packing hours for hourly – there is a new option in admin to quote packing hours separately then moving hours via an alternate hourly rate. This effects quote interface and all estimates.
  • Posting Payment Date selector – when selecting this field a date selection tool is now included.
  • Posting Link goes to Unposted – Instead of Post Fleet posting and account goes straight to unposted jobs.
  • Added Permanent Lock On Posting Records –  Under Admin -> Settings-> Accounting, can now specify how many days after the last move date of a job you can unlock a post. Defaults to never locking in existing applications.
  • Added Lock of Invoice Printing – Under Admin -> Settings -> Accounting, can now say how many days in the past you can print invoices for a date.
  • Added Schedule Locking – Under Admin -> settings -> schedule, you can now make the schedule lock days that are older then X days from today.
  • Payroll Summary Expense Column – On the Payroll Summary Report there is now an expense column so any dollars added under the money type “Expense” shows up here instead of “regular”
  • Hide Price and Qty settings on Modular Invoice Packing Materials Write In – two check boxes added to hide the price and qty on the packing materials write-in piece.
  • Hide Checks on Invoice – New option to hide the Check area in the payment sections of invoices.  Admin -> Settings -> Invoice
  • New Valuation Modular Invoice Piece –Displays three boxes side by side with the different valuation options and allows the customer to select and sign that valuation option.
  • Invoice Always Displays Packing Materials Option – New setting allowing the modular invoice to always show the packing materials section even if packing is checked on.
  • Posting Separate Multi-day Rate Hourly calc –There is now a new ability to store and calculate separate hourly rates for multiple days inside posting.
  • Display Travel Fee instead of write in drive time option – Modular invoice piece “Default/Not-To-Exceed with Fuel + Hour Min with Drive Time”
  • Valuation Names Customizable – The three valuations options now have customizable names in admin. These customized names will appear on the quoting/claims/storage interfaces, estimates, and invoices. Defaults are “Minimum”, “Depreciated”, and “Replacement.” Setting can be found under Admin -> Settings -> Pricing -> Valuation
  • Estimate: Probable Cost of Service – Fixed issue with sections jumping to new pages and leaving large blank space in between. Estimate now condenses as best as it can for least pages.
  • Added Quick Section Jump for modular invoice – can quickly jump to a section of the invoice for the modular invoice settings.

Bug Fixes

  • Office Calendar Scheduler making surveys more visible – We have down played the “staff event” creation and made the Survey and bookmark links more visible to remove new user confusion between the two.
  • Arrival Time Setting from Schedule View day – Fixed an error preventing arrival time and hours from saving on the schedule interface.
  • Employee List Says “All” but shows “Active” by default – Employee List’s status menu says “All” but is showing “Active”, now shows Active and says Active.
  • Storage Billing Amount changes lag by second or minutes – Billing amounts now update instantly.
  • Weekly Activity Report Due Column Fixed – The Due column only showed 0s rather then money applied to an account.
  • Weekly Activity Report Fails to load large date spans – due to speed and timeouts this report will sometimes fail to load as a result.
  • Posting Account Lookup Fails when ‘ in name – A name with a single quote throws off the post account lookup and won’t populate this data when you go to post it.
  • Price Zone Settings delayed update of new settings in admin Fixed.
  • Overtime calculations not updated after record deleted – when a payroll record is deleted the overtime numbers would not update.
  • Overtime calculated hours effected by expense records – if an expense was entered in with a job code, then the quantity was treated like labor hours.
  • Email Wizard Resizing feature broken – Images could be uploaded if they didn’t need resized but resizing prevented the images from showing up.
